What’s your Wellness score?

The holistic nutrition course I’ve been working through this year has been leading down the path of overall Wellness. Of course the learning was more focused on nutrition education; however, it also looked at all the different areas of “wellness” that impact your life, and in turn, your nutrition. I love data and quantifying things in my life so I have created a comprehensive quiz to help you find out what your “wellness score” is. Use this free wellness quiz to identify areas you may be able to improve.

The Wellness Score categories

These are the following categories that the quiz pulls questions from to give you an overall, and individual Wellness Scores.

Physical Wellness: This category focuses on all things physical, although I broke Nutrition into a separate category to get even more specific. This category measures your movement habits, things like how strong you are. This includes your physical activity level, and non-medical self care.

Emotional Wellness: This category focuses on how in touch you are with your feelings and what your capacity is to manage stress and strong emotions.

Occupational Wellness: This category so far has been one of the lower scoring categories in my quiz participants. It focuses on job satisfaction, passion for your work, and ability to contribute unique skills through your work.

Nutritional Wellness: All these categories affect your nutritional wellness but this category is weighted heavily to affect your wellness score. It dives deep into your food intake and ability to get a full spectrum of good nutrients from the food you eat while avoiding unhealthy things like additives and ultra-processed foods.

Social Wellness: Many studies have proven that humans need humans. The Blue Zones project discovered that one of the key elements to living a long and happy life is strong social connections. This category measures how supported you feel by your community and how strong your social connections are.

Intellectual Wellness: This category measures your motivation to continue learning, your openness to new ideas and ability to understand other perspectives. This is one of the categories with the least weight in the overall wellness score.

Spiritual Wellness: Do you have guiding principles or beliefs in life? This category considers your “why” in life and capacity for love, empathy, forgiveness and joy.

Wellness Resources

Here are some of my favorite wellness related books that you might enjoy. Many of these are available on Spotify. If you have Spotify Premium as well so no need to purchase them all through Amazon.

How do you ensure you stay on top of your wellness? Or what are some of your favorite books and podcasts? Let me know in the comments.

Cheers to your heath!
