Dan DuPraw is a travel & food writer on this blog and he documents his food & travel video adventures on YouTube. In early 2020, Dan was a contestant on the Food Network show called “Dishmantled” and won $5,000 for cooking Chicken and Waffles for Tituss Burgess (the Broadway and Netflix star), Marcus Samuelson (Celebrity Chef you’ve seen on all those food shows) and Michael Che (SNL). The show is now available to stream on Roku. Dan is a big fan of brunch, tacos, arepas, last minute travel, and he hopes to one day publish a children’s book. He is passionate about sharing good food with the people he loves whether it’s in a restaurant, or in his own home.
Dan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Western Michigan University and moved to New York City in 2017 to pursue theatre. With a few fun jobs and credits under his belt, the lovely little thing called… a global pandemic brought the theatre industry which gave him lots of time to think 🙂 After lots of back and forth Dan made the decision to move to Philadelphia and now works for Comcast and has some freelance clients on the side.

- Dan is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
- Dan is the Chair of the American Wine Society Philadelphia Chapter called the Cork Dorks. A monthly wine tasting and education group.
- His favorite trips to date have been to Venezuela in 2022 and Greece in 2021.
- In 2021 Dan was listed on the InBeat top 10 Food Influencers in Philadelphia list!
